Terms of Service
Version 1.0 — last updated 13 July 2026. These terms apply to every use of TCGBoxes.io.
1. Who we are
TCGBoxes.io (the "Platform") is operated by Codiro B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number [00000000], with its registered office at [Street + number], [Postal code] [City], the Netherlands. VAT ID: [NL000000000B00]. Email: support@tcgboxes.io. In these terms, "we", "us" and "TCGBoxes" refer to Codiro B.V., and "you" refers to the person using the Platform.
2. What the Platform does
The Platform lets you purchase digital packs ("Packs") that contain one trading card, sealed product or graded card ("Item") drawn from a published pool. For every Pack, the full list of possible Items and the exact odds of pulling each Item are displayed before purchase. The Item you pull is credited to your digital collection at its current market value, and you can then: (a) keep it in your collection, (b) sell it back to us at the quoted buyback price, (c) list it on the marketplace for other users, or (d) redeem it and have the physical Item shipped to you. Market values shown on the Platform are estimates derived from external pricing sources and fluctuate.
3. Provably fair openings
Every Pack opening is determined by our provably fair system: a server seed (whose hash is published before the opening), your personal client seed and an incrementing nonce. After an opening you can verify that the result was determined by these inputs and could not have been manipulated by us. The published odds and the verification data together define the outcome; results are final once revealed.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts to use the Platform. By creating an account you confirm this. You are responsible for ensuring that using the Platform is lawful in the country you use it from; we may restrict access from specific jurisdictions. One account per person; accounts are personal and non-transferable.
5. Your account
Keep your login credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity on your account. Notify us immediately at support@tcgboxes.io if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that provide false information, are involved in fraud, chargebacks, abuse of promotions, or that violate these terms. Where we close an account, we will pay out any remaining lawful wallet balance after deduction of amounts owed to us, unless the balance resulted from fraud or abuse.
6. Prices and payment
All prices are in euros and include Dutch VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by our payment provider Mollie B.V.; we never store your full payment details. A purchase is complete when the payment is confirmed by the payment provider. Obvious pricing errors (for example a market price that is clearly wrong due to a data-feed failure) do not bind us; where an obvious error affected a transaction we may reverse it and refund you.
7. Wallet
Your wallet is a prepaid balance you can use on the Platform. It is funded by deposits, buyback sales, marketplace sales and commissions. The balance earns no interest, is not a bank deposit and is not covered by a deposit guarantee scheme. You can withdraw your wallet balance to your bank account (SEPA) or PayPal at any time, subject to a minimum amount and identity verification where legally required (anti-money-laundering). Withdrawal requests are processed manually, normally within a few business days. Balances obtained through fraud or abuse may be withheld.
8. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
As an EU consumer you normally have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. On this Platform that works as follows:
Wallet deposits — you may withdraw from a deposit within 14 days and receive a full refund of the unspent part of that deposit. Contact us via the contact page.
Unopened Packs — you may withdraw from the purchase of a Pack within 14 days as long as it has not been opened, and receive a full refund.
Opened Packs — by opening a Pack you expressly request immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the opening is performed (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU; Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code). The outcome of an opening is final and cannot be reversed or refunded.
Marketplace and buyback transactions — sales between users and instant buyback sales are performed immediately at your request and are final.
Physical redemptions — when we ship a redeemed Item to you, the shipping service begins immediately; the Item itself was obtained from a Pack opening (see above). If a shipped Item arrives damaged or is not the Item shown in your collection, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will replace it or credit its value — this is separate from, and does not limit, your statutory rights regarding defective goods.
To exercise a right of withdrawal, send an unambiguous statement to support@tcgboxes.io (or use the contact page) stating your account email, the order number and what you withdraw from. We refund using the original payment method within 14 days of receiving your statement.
9. Redemption, sourcing and vouchers
Sourcing on demand. We keep part of our inventory in stock; other Items are purchased by us from our suppliers at the moment you redeem them. Redemptions of in-stock Items normally ship within 5 business days. Items sourced on demand can take longer; we will ship your redemption at the latest within 30 days of your request, as required by law.
If we cannot source your Item. If an Item turns out to be unavailable and we cannot deliver it within 30 days, we will notify you and you may choose between:
(a) a wallet credit equal to the higher of the Item's market value at the
moment of redemption or at the moment of crediting — this credit is withdrawable to your
bank account like any other wallet balance, so it is a full monetary refund;
(b) a replacement of the same Item in equal or better condition, where
available; or
(c) a product voucher for at least the same value, if you prefer one —
a voucher is only ever provided with your agreement, never imposed.
If you do not make a choice within 14 days of our notification, we apply option (a) and credit your wallet. In all cases any shipping fee you paid for the failed redemption is refunded as well. This does not limit any further rights you have by law when we fail to deliver.
Vouchers. Vouchers (whether issued under this section, purchased, or received in a promotion) are valid for at least 24 months from issue, can be spent on any product on the Platform, retain their remaining balance after partial use, and are not redeemable for cash except where the law requires it or where the voucher was issued in place of a monetary refund — in that case you can convert its unused balance back into withdrawable wallet credit at any time by contacting support.
Shipping. Shipping costs depend on your country and the number of cards and are shown before you confirm a redemption; the fee is charged to your wallet. Risk in a shipped Item passes to you on delivery. Once an Item is shipped it can no longer be sold or traded on the Platform. You are responsible for providing a correct shipping address; re-shipping after a failed delivery caused by an incorrect address may incur additional cost.
10. Marketplace and buyback
When you sell on the marketplace we charge the transaction fee displayed when listing. Buyback prices are quoted before you confirm and may differ from market value. We may remove listings that are fraudulent, unlawful or mispriced due to obvious error. Trades between users are contracts between those users; we provide the venue and settlement.
11. Points, promotions and daily rewards
Points, quests, daily spins and promotional credits have no cash value, are not transferable, can expire as indicated, and can be modified or withdrawn at any time for the future. Abuse of promotions (including multi-accounting) results in forfeiture.
12. Streamers and affiliates
Streamers and affiliates earn commission on qualifying purchases under their agreement with us. Commissions are reversed if the underlying order is refunded or charged back. Streamers must clearly disclose their commercial relationship with the Platform to their audience, as required by applicable advertising rules.
13. Prohibited conduct
You may not: use bots, scripts or exploits; attempt to manipulate the provably fair system, odds or prices; use the Platform for money laundering; open multiple accounts to abuse promotions; harass other users or streamers; scrape the Platform; or resell access. Violations can lead to confiscation of balances obtained through the violation, account closure and, where appropriate, reports to authorities.
14. Intellectual property
The Platform, its software and design are our property or licensed to us. Trading card names, images and trademarks belong to their respective publishers (including The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Wizards of the Coast, Disney and Bandai). TCGBoxes.io is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of them; card images are used solely to identify the physical products we sell.
15. Responsible play
Pack opening should be entertainment, not a way to make money: statistically, the market value of pulled Items is on average below the Pack price. Set yourself a budget and stick to it. If you want to take a break, email support@tcgboxes.io and we will block your account for the period you request (minimum one month) — such self-exclusion is irreversible for the chosen period. If opening packs stops being fun, organisations such as AGOG (NL) offer free help.
16. Availability and disclaimers
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access; maintenance, technical failures and third-party outages (payment provider, price feeds, carriers) can affect the service. Card market values are estimates from external sources and are not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms limits rights that mandatory (consumer) law gives you.
17. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence and for death or personal injury caused by us. For all other cases, to the extent permitted by law, our total liability for events in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid to us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profits or missed market-price gains on Items. Statutory consumer rights — including your rights when a product is defective — remain unaffected.
18. Complaints and disputes
Complaints: email support@tcgboxes.io with a description and your order number; we respond within 14 days. These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you always keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your EU country of residence, and you may bring disputes before the competent court of your own country as well as the courts of the Netherlands. You can also submit complaints to your national consumer protection authority (in the Netherlands: ACM ConsuWijzer).
19. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms for the future. Significant changes will be announced on the Platform or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not accept a change you may close your account and withdraw your remaining wallet balance before the change takes effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
20. Final provisions
If a provision of these terms is invalid, the remainder stays in force and the invalid provision is deemed replaced by a valid one that most closely matches its intent. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a group company or acquirer; your statutory rights are not reduced by such a transfer.
